Nevada (US) (ANI): Bollywood’s megastar Shahrukh Khan’s lifelike wax figure was reportedly unveiled at renowned Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hollywood (USA) today. Filmfare winner Shahrukh (Chak De India!), 44, is the first Bollywood star to be inducted into this Museum, which boasts of wax figures of celebrities like Audrey Hepburn, Clark Gable, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Johnny Depp, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, Beyonce, David Beckham, etc.

Museum calls Shahrukh’s induction as “historic addition” and adds that it “symbolizes a coming together of the world''s two great film centers, Hollywood and Bollywood”. Shahrukh, who is said to have starred in over 70 movies and is also a producer and television presenter, was named by Newsweek magazine as one of the 50 most powerful people in the world. His "My Name is Khan"(Karan Johar) is set for release on February 12.


Welcoming coming closer of Hollywood-Bollywood with this induction, Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that the collaboration of world’s two major film industries on various aspects was a step in the right direction. Cinema was a powerful medium and Hollywood-Bollywood engagement, if utilized positively, could bring East and West closer, Zed, who is chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, added.

The unveiling today was reportedly accompanied by a performance of America’s Bollywood dance troupe Ishaara, a recent America's Got Talent contender.

In a rarest or rare honour, Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) and Kajol have been invited to ring the opening bell of leading American Stock Exchange, NASDAQ on February 1, 2010. The duo will be promoting their movie, "My Name Is Khan".

They will ring the bell on behalf of Fox Searchlight Pictures, which is distributing their upcoming film, "My Name Is Khan" in the US market. Normally, CEOs of major companies get the honour of ringing the opening bell at NASDAQ.

The event will be broadcasted live on many television networks across the globe. So, it will give a major boost to the promotion of "My Name Is Khan". NASDAQ has about 3,700 listed companies.

Talk of another super hero movie and guess who's going to be in it? Well, none other than our dear Baadshah of bollywood ShahRukh Khan. It is reported that the film to be soon shot in exotic locales is called RA 1. It is going to be produced by Prashant Shah and the director is Anubhav Sinha.

This mega budget film will be shot in Miami's exotic locales with beaches and the bounties of nature, unlike other super hero flicks which have very mundane city locales. The concept of shooting outdoors was inspired by the shooting of the film 'Dostana' by the producer.

The film stars ShahRukh Khan who has roped in friend Karan Johar amongst his list of fashion designers who are Manish Malhotra and Anaita Shroff. ShahRukh had earlier been given style advice by Karan Johar in his film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' which had the actor on the top stylish actors of bollywood list.

So, in this super hero theme it would surely be a pleasure to see the costumes that the actor adorns.Indeed from Baadshah to super hero ShahRukh has been in it all, what  next we wonder?

It seems Twitter is too much a temptation to resist and that too for the celebrities across the world who are joining this social networking fraternity. Bollywood Actor Shah Rukh Khan is the recent inclusion in the Twitter family as the superstar made his tweeting debut on Saturday from his Twitter id @iamsrk. It was a real surprise for the King Khan fans as he tweeted for the first time. His first tweet reads, "hi everyone. being extremely shy i never thought i would be here. but my friend @kjohar25 insisted that i should learn to share my life." Karan Johar, one of the most popular directors in Bollywood and a close friend of SRK is an ardent twitterer and a much experienced one than the debutant. It was Karan Johar who for the first time notified the tweeple about Shah Rukh Khan joining Twitter. SRK's admirer and the ruling Bollywood actress Priyanaka Chopra was soon to respond as she tweets, "Pls welcome my most favorite actor ever..SRK @iamsrk !! So glad ure here!! Show some love twitterverse!!". She was followed by actress Genelia D'Souza who gave a warm welcome to SRK as she says, "..wat a lovely mrng to wake up n c shahrukh on twitter.. Welcome shahrukh @iamsrk : )" The King Khan, with his usual modesty conveyed his wishes to the tweeple and added that he didn't expect such a warm welcome from all. In less than 12 hours the master actor has got close to 7000 followers under his belt and his follower count is growing evidently fast. His presence on twitter seems to be a motivation for the tweeple as one of them admits, "yipeeeeee finally some motivation to be regular on Twitter". While some of the Shah Rukh fans gave "king size welcome" to twitterverse, some of them went on to approach the actor with their promotional plans. One of the twitterers have rightly kept his fingers crossed as he contemplated "how fast the followers of @iamsrk climb up ... will it break ur record @priyankachopra @ShashiTharooor". Apart from showering love on SRK, his demanding fans have already started asking him for a nice profile pic and replying to their tweets. The actor must be having some engaging sessions interacting with his followers and meeting their demands.

Guess who are the luckiest children in the world. UK-based film-maker Gurinder Chadha's twins: Ronak and Kumiko. At a recent function, where they were a melee (no exaggeration) of people waiting to catch the eye of the Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan, the King himself spent a good 20 minutes playing with Gurinder's twins.

While curly-haired Ronak ran all over the place, young Kumiko just sat in uncle SRK's arms charmed by the Bollywood superstar. SRK in turn gave her his undivided attention and while every person gave little Kumiko envious glances; he played with the kids. Later he said, "Kids are best when they are in the ages of three to six. You can spend your entire day with them.

When they're slightly older like my Aryan is then they are their own people. And while I still enjoy my time with Aryan, I have to adjust to his schedules. It isn't the other way around." Incidentally, Ahmed Khan the choreographer of the movie Dulha Mil Gaya, in which SRK is doing a special appearance, also took his kids along to meet the Badshah. Needless to say, the kids came back with stars in their eyes.

After Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta, now Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has joined social networking site Twitter.

"Being extremely shy, I never thought I would be here (on Twitter). But my friend Karan Johar insisted that I should learn to share my life," Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.

"Thanks everyone, this is really sweet...didn't expect such a warm welcome. Love to you all," he added.

The superstar was hardly seen on big screen in 2009 except in "Billu", and explaining the reason behind his absence, he wrote: "Injury has kept me away from making more films. Will work my back off to be around more... the shoulder feels strong and so do I."

In February last year, Shah Rukh underwent an arthroscopic surgery for acute pain in his left shoulder at the Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai.

He is now gearing up for the release of his much-talked about film "My Name Is Khan" which also stars Kajol.

Releasing Feb 12, the film's story revolves around Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh) who suffers from Asperger syndrome, a form of autism. Rizwan falls in love with a single mother Mandira (Kajol) who lives in San Francisco. Rizwan is detained by authorities at Los Angeles International Airport, mistaking his disability for "suspicious" behaviour.

Right now Shah Rukh is enjoying his holiday with wife and children.

"Kids and life calling...watching Tim Burton's '9' (animated fantasy film directed by Shane Acker) with them...last holiday...so up late...catch up later...," he wrote in his latest posting.
